Vicky Bartolomeo, Voice/Piano

Soprano Victoria Bartolomeo holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Bartolomeo's partial roles include: Ilia in Idomeneo, Blanche in Dialogues of the Carmelites, and the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte.  Victoria participated as a chorus member in MetroWest Opera's production of Hansel & Gretel.

Victoria partook in the New England Conservatory Summer Opera Program, which entailed a three-week intensive workshop that covered staging, acting, vocal coachings (emphasizing musicality and diction), and performance appropriate practices, cumulating in two performances.

Moreover, Ms. Bartolomeo has experience as a recitalist.  During her Master's Degree Recital, Victoria performed selections from Georg Friedrich Händel's Neun Deutschen Arien, selections from Ralph Vaughan William's Along the Field with violin, and French and German Romantic art songs.

In October of 2014, Ms. Bartolomeo gave the modern-day premiere of vocal selections by Boston-based composer Salvatore Arnò (1884-1963).  In the spring of 2018, Victoria will be traveling to Messina, Italy, to perform additional Salvatore Arnò selections, emphasizing his opera works.

Most recently, Victoria was soprano section leader for the Lessons and Carols Service at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Acton, Massachusetts.

For the past five years, Victoria has been teaching voice and piano lessons in the Greater Boston area.  During voice lessons, she guides students in improving their vocal timbre, range, and overall quality.  In addition to improving technique, Ms. Bartolomeo helps students to improve their sight-reading skills.  This ability to guide her students in becoming independent musicians allows them to join select vocal groups and enables them to participate in District and All-State Choirs.
