Aidan Lizotte – Guitar and Piano

Born to musicians/ music teachers, Aidan was surrounded by instruments and a love for music from a young age.

He was awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz award in high school for his skill on trumpet, playing in honors Wind and Jazz ensembles. He studied trumpet under Robert Perriera and later, Walter Platt at UMass Lowell.

He picked up the guitar at age 13, and studied under Paul Courchaine, Alan Vaudreuil, and later Thomas Juliano, and Johnathan Wheatley at UMass Lowell.  Aidan also found inspiration in the piano, a source of freedom and a wonderful creative outlet.

Aidan graduated in May of 2025 with his Bachelors in Sound Recording Technology from UMass Lowell. At his time in the program he worked on countless recording projects in every role, from producer to talent, recordist to mixing engineer. He played in many groups/ ensembles at UML such as Studio Orchestra, Small Jazz Ensemble, Talking Heads Ensemble, Marching Band, Electric Guitar Ensemble, and Concert Band.

He also had an opportunity to intern at a popular recording studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts for several months, working with many local and world-traveling musicians/artists alike. While working under a seasoned mixing engineer and recordist he refined his skills and knowledge of the music industry. Aidan has also worked as a freelance live sound engineer, mixing monitors and front of house for bands from Portsmouth to Boston.

He has played in recording studios, bars, family parties, stages of various sizes, countless basement jams, and even busked in the streets of France and Italy. He has been professionally teaching lessons for three years but engaging in musical exchange has been a lifelong practice.
