Testimonials
WMA is welcoming and encouraging older adults who wish to learn a new instrument. Don’t listen to negative voices telling you it’s too late, too difficult, or plain ridiculous! After my retirement I started taking violin lessons at WMA last summer. Of course, learning something totally new it is a big challenge, but it is also a very rewarding experience. I am making progress and have fun playing. I consider myself very fortunate to have David for a teacher.
Ken teaches voice to my two daughters. In addition to sharing his vocal and pedagogy expertise with them, he has a way of instilling confidence in my daughters that carries over to life outside of music lessons. I feel so grateful to have Ken as their voice teacher

I wanted to share with you my joy in playing the piano again!
You may remember me mentioning how I played for several years as a child; from age 6-11. I cannot say that I remember ever feeling excited about my lessons back then.
As an adult I have grown to appreciate and see it as a gift to myself. Much of my excitement about my lessons have stemmed from having a great teacher. I think that makes a world of difference. Hansani not only teaches me how to play but provides background on the musical pieces that I learn, shares his perspective and makes it all connect. Having that connection is what brings out my passion for it.
As Alanna and Justin are at the ages where they do not yet see the value in what they are learning, I make sure to always share my excitement with them in hopes they make a connection sooner then I did.
Thank you Sarah for giving us this wonderful experience!
The Worcester Music Academy is a gem of school. We are so fortunate to have found the WMA for my son to take violin lessons. David Siegel is an amazing instructor who dials in instantly to his student’s ability levels and is able to inspire the students to learn–and even better–to practice at home in the interim between lessons.
My son began lessons at the WMA in person last year, and now continues with lessons online during the COVID shutdown. The online lesson environment has been working well, and I would highly recommend new students try this option and take lessons from the WMA in their very own home.”
As a student at the Worcester Music Academy, I would like to say that each lesson, rehearsal, and performance over the past 15 months has been very enjoyable. Sarah Kelly is a kind and patient teacher who understands the various needs of the adult student and her expertise as a professional musician is invaluable. The Worcester Music Academy is a place where I always feel welcome and supported. I am always greeted with a smile from Sarah and my lesson ends with a word of encouragement. I wish for everyone to experience the warmth and joy of the Worcester Music Academy and the profound pleasure of learning to make music!
We love Worcester Music Academy. Dawn is an amazing teacher and Sarah is always responsive and helps with our complicated scheduling. The end-of-year concerts are amazing and inclusive
The kind manner and patience of our son’s guitar teacher has really made a difference. Our son is excited to play
My daughter started her piano lesson at Worcester Music Academy last year, the fall of 2012. She was actually a transfer student from her previous piano teacher. I am very happy with Worcester Music Academy. My daughter’s piano teacher Mr. Archibald is the best. He is a caring teacher. I can see the change of my daughter when she plays piano. Last but not the least, we like WMA because of Sarah Kelly. Sarah’s positive and helping attitude makes us continue at WMA.
My daughter and I watched the video together yesterday after the Open House – and my daughter said, “That’s your school?…
This is so WARM!”
And I thought to myself as I watched our visitors streaming in through the door this is the ONE school in Worcester where EVERYONE who comes in the door can feel truly welcome!
That’s YOUR doing, Sarah.
