Kevin Politz – Voice/Musical Theatre/Acting
Kevin Politz grew up in a very musical household. This ultimately sparked his love for the arts, most notably musical theatre. Because of this passion, Kevin attended Dean College in Franklin, MA to pursue a BA in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre.
Throughout his time at Dean, he had the opportunity to work as the music director for the musical theatre troupe. In this role he coached individual, duo, and group numbers. Kevin has experience both coaching and performing styles such as pop, pop-rock, golden-age musical theatre, contemporary musical theatre, and more. He believes that in order to understand the voice, one must understand its intricacies and the many ways that it can be adjusted to fit various styles. He also believes that singing is more than just translating notes from a page; that it is a vulnerable art that encourages the singer to explore themselves through their work. He is excited to be teaching at Worcester Music Academy as it is where he started his vocal journey, back in 2017.
